Useful Tools For Article Writers Online – Learn Them

Posted by admin On December - 16 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

When articles writers start writing articles at the beginning of their career, they would easily feel frustrated because they would easily think that everything is difficult to handle. However, if they know how to use the tools to write the articles, they would easily deal with all the problems.

First of all, they should know how to use some basic tools to check the keyword density and the percentage of uniqueness. Some employers would require the article writers to write articles which are 90% unique and if you do not have the tools you may find it difficult to calculate this kind of percentage of uniqueness. Besides, if you are given a certain keyword density requirement, you need to use the tools to check as well. Many employers would look for fulfillment of these requirements and if you fail to meet these requirements they would not be satisfied with your articles and they may not pay you.

Therefore, article writers should learn how to find these useful tools. Some of these tools are free while some of them are not. Of course, the paid programs of software would be better for the article writers who are beginners. But if you think that you can handle the matters well using the freeware and you do not want to waste a lot of money, the free software would also be good. And it is the fact that some professional article writers actually just use the freeware to assist their work. Wish you all success in becoming one of the best article writers in the world.

Choosing your character for online story creation

Posted by admin On December - 1 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

By now you already know how very important it is that you have the right type of plot in mind for your writing. But did you also know that it is not simply the plot of the story that can attract a reader? There is a lot that depends upon the name of the character. I have come up four rules that are very important when choosing your story character name.

1. The first is that you should be very comfortable with the name of the character. Although you might want to use the very first name that pops up in your head, remember that you should be comfortable with the pronunciation of it. Try not to pick out a name that reminds you of someone you dislike as it is possible in such a case, you would be reminded of that individual each time you write about the character.

2. Pronunciation

The character name that you choose should be very easy to pronounce and should not be confusing to readers. There are many English words that are often very confusing when it comes to pronouncing them and as such you need to make sure you give your readers a name they would be able to easily pronounce. For instance, how would you read the following sentence.

“I read a book”

Would you pronounce it as “present tense read?” or “past tense read?”

Similarly, there are many other mispronounced names in the English language that you need to consider such as Sean and Shawn. While both are pronounced the same, some might pronounce Sean as ‘Seen’. If you choose a name that is quite difficult to pronounce, readers would be confused as to how to pronounce it every time they come across it, disrupting their reading flow.

3. Foreign Names

Never try to create an exotic name that has no meaning and is difficult to remember. For instance, there are many foreign sounding names such as

Yash, Lohiya, Mickhele and Zlatan.

While such names might sound fancy to you as a writer, remember that some of your readers would have difficulty in their pronunciation and confusion might arise later in the story due to the inability of the reader to remember which character the name pertains to.

4. Suitability of the name

Make sure that the name you are choosing can relate to your character. This is by far, the most important rule when choosing any character names. The name that you are choosing for your character should be able to match the type of character you wish to bring out. For instance, if you plan on having a mafia-type character, a name like Joey or Vincent would be perfect. Can you imagine a mafia character with the name Hubert or Jason?

Choose the name that can match your character well.
